Also, that KRL 370379 from DC Cook shows it got to Chicago on 11/02, although when looked at on 11/3, still showed at DC Cook.

That 4 axle may have been a B36-7. They brought down 2 engines the other night to take a car to Chicago (probably that KRL car you mentioned), and I think they left an engine. It had an SD40-2/B36-7 lite power when it came down from GR.

Darn! Wouldn't have figured on this - wish I would have had time to take a break and head over that way - not gonna be many more days like this until next year!

I think Marquette Rail is going to by CSX from GRR to Porter
and run intermodel trains for CP.

Tim...I didn't plan on it either, I was going back to work when I saw them and I had left the camera at home. I really want to get a shot of them going on that beat up old track in between the buildings next to Zeeland Lumber

Caught Q326 going through Grandville this morning. They where doing like 3 MPH. I saw track equipment in the west end of the run around in Grandville, but didn't hear the crew aslign for permission through anyones work limits. Unless there is a slow order on the main west of Wilson Ave somewhere. More of the steel reinforcing beams on two flats and several loaded coil steel cars. 5(?) Inland and 1 CSX in NYC reporting marks.

In addition to CP X500 and Q327 with Bill today, there was Q216 and Q272 between the CP X500 and Q327 trains.

Q216 - CSX 114 and CSX ??11 ( C40-8 ) at 2:05pm going down the Toledo Wye and south to Toledo.

Q272 - CSX 5112 and CSX 482 at 2:20pm going up the Toledo Wye and east to Detroit. NOTE: 11 cars on the train were from Q304.

Also, this morning around 7:30am I saw south of the diamond on the passing siding a good 40+ cars with no locomotives or EOT. On the way home this afternoon, it was gone. Any ideas where all those cars went? :?

My wife and I were having dinner on the deck when they went by. I was naughty and filled up the firepit with leaves and burned them so that we could enjoy the aroma. Don't tell - I'm sure burnng leaves is banned here in Holland township. What a great night - I'm typing this outside on the deck and listening to Amtrak (I think) going through town...

Wow, totally random comment in this thread that no one replied to. Now that would be interesting.

Yeah, and a comment that makes absolutely no sense at all.
