CSX GRE MQT Train Location Update 11-11-08

I won't be going by the yard first thing in the morning but 90230 in Cascades paint is leading with 30 pushing. The train is parked on the CSX interchange track with the 90230 next to the office and the 30 fouling or nearly fouling the main.

Maybe it'll still be on the train when I take 370 home on Thursday. :)

Just a heads up, the Taylor Swift CD came out at 12:00.00 AM this morning. I'm on my way to Wal-Mart to get my copy!

Must have been quite the derailment on Amtrak...todays 371 had #92 leading with 3 cars. The Cascade and #30 must still be in GR

Seems like it's about time the Superliners should be showing up, isn't it?

Yes, there is an Amtrak consist still sitting in the Ann St yard. Saw it from 131 as I was heading south earlier.

Aye aye, thanks sir, you found N91906. I'm trying to keep track of 2 car numbers off of each eastern coal train in an attempt to find these things better... if anyone ever sees an eastern coal to West Olive, please let me know a couple car numbers from it so I can watch it better later on..my Magic 8-ball sucks sometimes :)

That was a reefer. ARMN is reporting marks owned by UP. The cars usually go to MI Cold Storage in Wyoming yard, but they usually come from the west. Maybe this one was just passing through?

std 2 motors and 103 cars, but on the head end was an extra two six
axle motors, believe these were the extra pair of 6 axles ( bnsf and a ns )
that came in on this mornings 326, they trailed the std pair of csx motors
on 326. waiting to see if they will come back with empties?

Did some snooping around last week of that spur on the east side of Plaster Creek. There are a three spurs off of that going to empty warehouses, and each spur looks to be in pretty bad shape. Do you know exactly which one is going to be used? Is CS&T a new business going into one of those old warehouses (each look to be unused), or does it already exist?

Columbian is the furthest east track - all the way to the end. They have had a spur for years, the door is in the SE corner of the building, used to use it a number of years ago.

Thanks, Tom. I'll go check it out again when I get a chance. I like to see the before and after of projects like this.

Columbian is a west facing switch. The two you probably saw are east facing and used to go to Van Erden (now Besteman or Heeran) and one to C Dyksta Potatoes, now a Hispanic food wholesaler.
