Please do not poke at the ramp agent because he has the power to make your vacation
memorable or miserable. It all depends on what flight you bags go on.

I marked off weather. This is some of the most radical weather I've seen in a few years and its foolhardy to venture out in it. With a 25 mile drive thru rural northern Kent County its LOINS FOOTBALL for me this afternoon. I'm STAYIN HOME!!!!!!!!!!

But Al Gore says man-made global warming is the most immediate threat facing us - with the record low temps this year around the world and the oceans cooling by two degrees over the past ten years is there a chance Al might be overstating things?

Be very careful out there today - it's hard to drive around Holland - road crews just don't seem to be out over here like they have been in past years.

I thought I read somewhere on michigan.gov about the reduced service of plows across the state due to budget problems...

X500 just left after spending about a half hour cleaning out switches near Plaster Creek so they could get out of the yard. One of the heated switches isn't working. Dispatcher to X500 as they are getting ready to leave the yard: "You're not going to like this..."

Just heard some radio traffic from Q326 - thought we would try to get into town to get some pics - but the plows did come through about a half hour ago and it's gonna take some time to clear out the end of the driveway...

Interesting...apparently Bensenville isn't too far away from here...if it were a couple dozen degrees warmer, I might have considered venturing over that way to try to see it...assuming, of course that it exists as anything other than a number in a computer... :?

Saw a couple of trains in Plymouth a while ago:
Q272 (I'm guessing; scanner was silent) at 12:45, with CSX 7396 + 8805 pulling 25 cars north then east around the Toledo wye.
Q216-21 at 13:10, going in the opposite direction, with CSX 647 + 4779 pulling 26 cars.

With Zack's update, looks like I won't need to wait for Q327-21...

Anyone happen to know what the trailing unit, or units, behind CSXT 52 on todays Q335 was? Not that there is anyone crazy enough to be out and about today to see it. If Plymouth Station Guy, or SW wants to venture out, X500-20 with CP 9674 is going by Howell as I type at 1446 hrs. He has an Oak set off today.

The weather wasnt that bad here. Got about 2-3 inches of snow last night and a little wind around 30mph, but I still made it out today to shoot the N954/Z144 pulling into Bay City around noon. Engines were BNSF 9609 and 5882.

Well that's weird. Mike T reported X500 cleared Beck at 3:35. It must have stopped at CH25, but for what? Crew change?
