Looks like it will be quiet at the GRE today unless CSX brings more than the 2 that are currently inbound. The usual Amtrak

At 3:50 am I heard what may have been N954 clear 7 Mile Rd in Northville. Sounded like a coal train.

N954-24 arrived Walbridge yesterday afternoon and out was called for just after 1520 but the train had all sorts of engine problems with the BNSF SD70MAC-CEFX AC4400CW consist so the power cut off and went over to Stanley and grabbed the BNSF units off Q334-25 and took them north with them to Flint today...train was recrewed north of Plymouth...
**Things are getting kind of interesting with the new One Plan and power situation (300 units stored) as they are pretty tight north of Toledo these days..
Doc-The "new traffic" via GR to the BRC is actually the stuff that Q509 took to Garrett and had to have Q393 usually pick up or Q389 when needed....this move was so that Q509 could focus more on SDI...the CHBRC block is only 10-16 cars a day but that can add up...

Yesterday from aprox 0600 or so to about 0200 this morning you had a total of 4 road freights through Plymouth....Q322-24 at about 0830-N905-21 in the late afternoon-G352 at about 2015-and Q231-25 around 2230...
And then after 0200 until about 0400 this morning you had L326-24, N954-24, Q392-25, Q322-25, L399-26 and Q132-25 (long way).

So 4 train in 20 hours and then 6 in 2 hours....this seems to be the norm now with traffic patterns....

Q272-26 running today out of Osborn for Detroit tomorrow
K356-26 running via GR with coke empties for Detroit

CP has decided that they will do what CSX is doing and not run a X500 (CP 240) if there is not more then a certain amount of cars (dont know how many-have heard 20 and also 30)...a few X500's have been anulled so far this year and there are "talks" about the future of this train across the CSX......management has been pushing a "buy out" but so far they have failed with every attempt and I dont think it will get passed until the DME traffic is settled into its new routes..

That Q334 made it into Stanley before it died on hours in one of the arrival tracks.

I'm pretty sure I heard G927 being instructed to tie it down in Walbridge on one of the yard tracks though I never actually saw the train.

There was a Western Coal train with a pair of BNSF 70MAC's (H2 leader, G Green trailer) at the North end of Walbridge stopped for a crew change or something - perhaps the N900?

Also, something had a pull-apart on the terminal that had things all hosed up near the lower river bridge on track 1...

The only trains I really saw were a NS 16N between Maumee & 286 and at the last minute a 331 at Maumee - aparently 20E was having problems with their leader and was stopped on main 1 at 285 while an engine house guy came out to fix it - back on the move now though...

The coal train is probaly eastern loads for West Olive.
The other day Q334 USED BNSF power from West Olive.
They most likely took the CSX POWER OFF THE TRAIN AND PUT THE BNSF power on it.

G85523 cleared Plymouth Diamond @ 12:30 with CSX 9039 single unit and 60 cars
Q32726 cleared Plymouth Diamond @ 16:10 with CSX 8321,5461 42 cars the last cars on the train was :shock: :shock: a Autorack loaded with cars :shock: :shock: ( RN told them when they got to Lansing they are dropping off the lead unit and picking a couple of locomotives)

4 Engines were on the train this afternoon when it was delivered to Consumers. BNSF 9926, CEFX 1010, 9173, and 9728. They are heading south through Bay City light engines.
