Looks quiet again at the GRE. NS picked up but I didn't look north because I was focused on Amtrak being further south than normal 75 on the rear. King certainly is getting far fewer cars than this summer. I hope it's because the MI wheat harvest was very good.

Went out at 11 or so to get shots of Q132 post-crew change at E. Broadway (successfully) and then had a nice suprise at Vickers. There's a BC Rail unit BCOL 4649 trailing CN 2590 elephant style on a manifest parked in the controlled siding at 285 - I'm guessing it's a NS 353? Doesn't look like a crew on board right now so who knows when they'll move. Heads up North!

The new D708 (30) finally made it to Howell today, one week to the day after the last D709 ran. They had 40 cars over the DD at Fowlerville, about 25 cars for GLC and 5 more IP loads (as if this makes any difference anymore) With not many trains running now, there is nothing but a major traffic jam currently at Ann Pere. D708's crew has already been relieved with a recrew, and the train now known as D909 with a date, perhaps as early as the 27th, (maybe 29th). Q327-30 on the main waiting for D708 upon their arrival, and despite being the first 327 in 48 hours, had only 35 cars, 24 for Ensel. D909 and GLC making a meet to interchange the cars for one another, because there is so many. G855-24 for Grand Ledge is sitting at MP51 because they can not get a diamond signal, (GLC on the circut) D909 can not make a move untill the grain empty goes west. Meanwhile, a G439 grain empty for Webberville is behind the G855. On top of all this, D909 has to go to South Lyon tonight because they have two Century Truss cars in their train. And to think the trainmaster is here supervising all this. Guess this is what happens when the local shows up but once a week.

D717 did come back to Plymouth with 20 cars @17:23

The GRE showed up today and it looks like they just went to Amway. They also set the switcher out for CSX pickup.

Yeah, but now we won't see any more trains in Plymouth all weekend!

Bob, when you see those cars (like the 25 today) for GLC, any chance you can give a quick breakdown of what kind of cars? Such as lumber loads and reefers, that sort of thing? Helps me know what may work it's way to TC..

I caught Q322 with bout 100 cars NB at Pontiac Trail and Wixom Rd, this morning CSXT SD50 #8545 and CSXT #5425 at 8:40am.....

Then Called Bill, and caught D717 BEFORE it left East yard with our favorite CSXT GP40 Slug Pair CSXT #2207 and CSXT #6436,

Saw D739 TWICE once on its way to Wixom, and On its way Back CSXT #2509 and 3 hoppers....
