CSX MI Train Location Update 7-6-09

Not sure what's up at the GRE. The inbound GDLK is on top of the outbound CSX. 371 is configured pull-pull (Thanks to Glenn because I couldn't see the second engine this morning due to the trees).

What a poopy looking lineup today.
Q32706 - set to leave detroit at 2pm
Q33506 - hasn't left Toledo yet
probably no X50005 today, X50006 shows GR routing for tomorrow
N90306 - hasn't left Chicago yet
E94904 - not moving yet
K35704 - not moving yet(Garrett routing)
K35606 - hasn't left Chicago yet(garrett routing)

GDLK NB Watson 10:55 with a scale test car.
Y106 headed east right after GDLK cleared the wye.

From what i heard last night there a big meeting this morning at 08:30 am in Jacksonville Fla about what going on with our trains K356/K357/X500.
The two Chicago mangers,UTU & BLE union officers and cindy sandbourn are all on a confernce call
about how they wasted blue island crews for west olive trains and that wye Q327 & K357 SAT around Grand Rapids
with no crews availble.

I completely forgot to post that there were 2 scale test cars that GDLK had up here.

Tower was just telling Z151 to pull east and he'd be getting a signal soon. Looks like they are heading back north.

By Howell at 1524. First CSX road train in three full days here, since Q327 ran last Friday. D708-06 today arrived in town eastbound with only 4 cars, all for GLC, and returned to Ensel engine light. Can it get any worse?

I can hear CSX coming thru Holly now but I can't see which direction from my vantage point.

A little late but a 4pm the GRE crew was still out east. They set a centerbeam out for the C&M and I'm guessing CSX delivered this morning but just a guess
.

At 231pm NB thru Romulus: CSX G85502 (Thanks Zack) (whispering on the radio) CSX 324 CSX 586 and 65 Grain Empty's, this may be what you heard firemedic54.

I'd be quite amused if they sent the outbound GDLK, to CSX to send to home rails. Wouldn't surprise me, but with logic and the railroad being as it is, I could see CSX getting their cars to/from GRE via Hugart...

(CP 242/X500) will stay running thru Grand Rapids.
K356/K357 will still run thru Garrett for now.

I was under the impression that the contract between CP and CSX was the CP ws to run a minimum 1000 cars per month via GR\Detroit. How they did that was up to CP. I thought the contract was still good for at least another 18-24 months. Could be why X500 is staying and the K trains are going to the B&O line.
