The FP-7 is now off the SRI property and is now in front of the GLC shops. Could be due to leave on the next Osmer turn train.

Thanks for the info - if anyone can post here or let me know when it does in fact leave please do so!

Thank you,
Michael

Best I can tell it didn't get to Toledo yesterday or overnight and as of 0815 this morning the AA road power appeared to be "out of town" and there was a CN train sitting North of Alexis on the AA waiting to come South (with a single CN painted GTW GP38-2 and a long string of autoracks - what train might that have been?)

Thanks,
Michael

EDIT : I just got an update from a friend in the field that the previously reported GP38-2 is still at La Voy Rd and the two yellow AA Geeps are North of the CN train but with only a pair of high-cube boxcars and no Southern F-unit...

Wonder where it is?

I'd driven by Ottawa yard this AM and didn't see it, but last time it came through they did a good job of hidding it so it could be in there somewhere...

...or it could still be up at Osmer? Or who knows...

It's like "where's Waldo" with that thing!

Seeing as how Mike has already up dated it. I will confirm. No 6133. It still somewhere between Milan and Owosso. I was around the AA yard from 7:15 until I found the AA just south of Dian, and the only thing they had was the 2 GP39-2's and two 86' parts cars. He was stuck behind CN 246? waiting at Alexis for 5 CSX southbounds and maybe a crew change, before getting on the CSX.

Apparently the (?) 246 and AA train got moving around 9:45 or so this AM... The funny part was that NS 353 was sitting in the controlled siding at 285 with a crew on board by 8AM or so but with two Edison trains in Wagon Works and the 246 & AA stuck North of Alexis the NS dispatcher wouldn't let 353 even come out at 285... (353 had a typical pair of CN GE's on it) The CSX dispatcher really "stuck it" to everyone else to get his 5 trains over the road first... (although a couple were "short time crews")

Morning update (8/6/09) - drove by Ottawa yard @ 0730 and counted the two yellow GP39's and (at least) two of the three orange GP38's. No headlights up the AA from Hallett and couldn't really stick around today. No sign of the FP7 anywhere. Pretty quiet otherwise and the only other note was that there was a coal train and autorack train in Wagon Works so 353 was again parked at Vickers in the siding (with typical power - EMD's today I think).

Anyone else have any idea where that Southern unit's at?

Michael

Mike how could you have missed me? I was there from 7:15 until 8:00. I dont think they ran north last night. As it looked as the 39's had not moved from yesterday, and also they were silent, no air sounds, meaning they have not been run in a while. So maybe it will show up later this afternoon. Can anyone in AA give a shout out if they hear the AA come through. It either is in the siding at Osmer, or it got interchanged to the NS at Milan.

Did you see me? :) I made a quick buzz-by at Hallett and along the length of the yard - probably missed you because I was too focused on checkin' out the place and took off quickly 'cause I didn't want to be late to work (again) for no good reason...

I may run up there again after work - have to see if we can find anything out but so far it's made quite the "disappearing act" on us.
