Q334 Has just come into Lansing

Amtrak P371 at Holland Depot with brake trouble - Cabbage (on head end) - brake shoes not engaging on engineer's side front. Amtrak being notified to call Mechanical possibly.

X500 should be leaving Holland soon.

update to tim's report
p371 was going at med speed by east waverly, med app at east waverly to slow app at west wye
with a stop at was holland, by east waverly at 816am
meantime x500 was at east saugatuck doubling back on their train in the siding,
the plan was for 500 to back onto their train , tie on then shove back behind the
signal so p371 could get a clear at holland to make it's stop and then see 500 at east saugatuck,
but that plan changed when the engineer alited from the engine and discovered that
the brakes shoes on the lead trucks, engineers side, were not even touching the wheels
with the train all stop in 3 step, he reports that he can move the shoes back away from the wheels
with his foot, thus the contact with the mech dept and that this is as far as 371 will go today intil
repaired, don't know if they can wye the train and then proceed west or not, as of now they are stopped
east of the was holland.
x500 now enroute to meet 371 at holland , thru siding and on to wyoming

CP X500 plowing into GR, going through Jenison(CEFX 1028), Q335 somewhere between lake odessa and elmdale for the last hour
bnsf 9845 on e949 going through holland heading west.
There's an outbound crew waiting in GR for X500.

while typing 1st update it was decided 371 could proceed west to chicago
departed holland at 916am
500 has the cefx 1028 with 3977' with 228 axles 54 + 1 combo rack cars
920am east waverly
932am 19.1
e949 - bnsf 9845 - wb enter roost at 922am
clear holland at 938am

late night - 1115pm - rn to d801 wb with the western empties after d801 released the blocks,
you are lined into the siding at wells, cut away from the empties when you are ready,
the n903 is by livingston, will talk you on to him at wells
d801 brought western empties to wells and then pushed the n903 up the hill

BNDF 6119 6162 (D801) south at Riley St. Holland 10:55 AM.

CP X500 meeting Q335 at Fox, then Q335 will go west, meeting L326 at Seymour. Caught CP X50026 at Breton in Grand Rapids, single unit CEFX 1028.

X500 through East Lansing about 45 minutes to an hour ago. Should be at Howell or Brighton now.

Right On! He was going through Howell as you typed. Assuming Q335-27 finally made it to Grand Rapids, he had one unit again, but it was 5107, the one lettered "The W.Thomas Rice Special" Second day in a row for one unit with 75-85 cars. 494 returned on Q334 today, one unit also.

L326 Just coming through E. Lansing/Okemos right now

E441?? clearing South Clyde at 19:01 CSXT 370, 450 and two other units that I didn't get the numbers.

Ok? A lot of CSX's units are former C&O. 2305's mother, 6942 is former WM 4371. Is that not worth noting?
