We won't know until a crew is called or until it leaves. Even then, it's anyone's guess when it'll be through, due to yard stops and other unforeseen delays. Just pay attention to the updates as they come.

I think he was trying to make a joke (giving him the benefit of the doubt on that) but it got taken seriously. I'm pretty sure the only thing he knew at the time was the Q377 assignment which had already been reported here.

At any rate (and to get this back on topic) the Q377 apparently left without the UP 1982 already (because the power was still being serviced? who knows...) Anyway, the current scoop from trainorders is:

Now Planned for K683-20 as trailing unit for a 1500 call time. All subject to change.

You may yet have a chance - the latest "rumors" I'm hearing have it still sitting in Selkirk "unassigned" (as opposed to on the Q train or K trian it's been rummored to be on) so who knows when it'll go out and on what at this point - probably won't know for sure until someone sees it leave the yard...

However the fact that it's Friday, almost noon, and it still isn't on an outbound train leaves fairly good odds for a weekend return trip across western OH and IN.
