CSX Train Location Updates 3/7/13

Unread post by cnw8835 »

It sounds like Q326 is ready to go east at Holland. From what I understood they have 1 engine and either 6300 tons or 6300 feet of train. They are aiming to be at Hudsonville for Amtrak.
Q335 west at Seymour at 0700 with CSX 5306 leading.

Looks like CSX might have delivered to the GRE, but it's a guess. Crew going on duty at 7. Power on one end, no cabbage on 371

Maintainers just got Grand Ledge to Ensel. Sounds like D707 is near Grand Ledge or maybe working the yard there.

I thought I heard RN tell the MOW guys that there was no D708 today but maybe I got it wrong. Bob M can probably let us know.

EC1 # xxxxx to the D707 07 CSX 4024 location milepost ch 104.0 circle line 1a operate on the main track in a west direction from the EE Sunfield to WAS EE Lake Odessa. OK and effective 10:24. LAL over.

D707 07 rolled through Sunfield at 10:37. They had CSX 4024 leading facing west and CSX 2488 trailing facing east. They had 26 cars today: A cut of 5 empty centerbeams, a bulkhead flat, a lumber load, cut of loaded scrap gons, a cut of empty coke hoppers, a black tank, another empty centerbeam, and a few gons on the rear.

At 10:45 they called an approach slow at ch 118. Must be lined for the siding at Lake - O. Probably have some work in town.

At 10:57 They were stopped at milepost ch 122. RN gave them an EC1 for slow orders near milepost 134 and cancelled a previous dispatcher message. She said, "OK now that you have that I'll let you get moving again and I'll collect those EC1's from behind you." So no work in Lake O actually by the sounds of it.

D708 currently working somewhere between Webberville & Fowlerville, at 10:50 so they are out there. Today is one of their turn around days at Fowlerville if they follow the norm so won't expect them here, and will be surprised if they do.

MQT should be ready to head north here shortly. Power is on the east end and on it's train.
EDIT: Looks like they are gonna wait on grand elk to finish picking up it's cut and follow it out.

1524 Edit: MQT 151 is departing Wyoming as of right now with the 03.
This is my life. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

If this is a problem get used to it.

Am not sure who, but somebody, has been coming west on the Plymouth Sub from Plymouth all day long and is now dead on the main at Rickett Road in Brighton (the last I heard) Probably another Essexville empty. Train had to set out two bad orders in two different spots in their train at South Lyon.

Edit: That did not take long. Train was E94501 with CSX 418 & 229 for power. By Howell @ 17:08

Heads Up West Of Howell, E94501 with CSX power on the head end, just by Howell has two bay window cabs on the rear end, at least one B&O, maybe both. Missed the numbers. Anybody sees the train, watch the rear end and post the numbers PLEASE!

Have to be honest with this one. After the head end went by, got back on to post an edit to my message just above this one, and was doing that when the rear end went by. Neighbor called called from down the street right after, and said,,,,, hey whats up with the two baywindow cabs on the end of the train. Thats when I started banging my head into the wall !!!!!!!!

Perhaps has something to do with the changes just recenty made in the Flint Area, or, these were cabs stored in Flint, or Saginaw for many years that they are just moving out.

Wow. Might have to drag the parent to see this. What is your estimate from Ensel to Seymour?

Jetlink, now is the time for one of your "E945 west by Woodbury" updates :D

Trying to think of an area with good light. I know Grandville will work but I don't want to get caught with them dumping them in Wyoming...

Any ideas if I get out? Time estimate would be helpful too. I can't burn too much time waiting. The GR scanner would cut the time close as well.
