NKP 765 locations/ heads up

Well I figure now is a good time for NKP heads up for anyone looking to track the ferry moves from Fort Wayne over to Toledo and up to Owosso. I'll be looking to catch them on the Ann Arbor hopfully tomorrow, and having updates on departures always helps! Not sure hay time they will be departing Fort Wayne today, but I'm sure we will all know soon enough.

Tracker at least shows they turned on the GPS and are at the east end of the yard in New Haven as of an hour ago.

Lolz, my guess is their mifi and GPS doesn't have a way to be pulled in to get more juice:

Supposed to have arrived in Toledo at about 8:15pm. Hoping for an afternoon trip up the AA tomorrow, or at least in the light.

Calling for an afternoon departure from Toledo according to the NKP 765 tweet. Looks like they brought quite a few cars with them this time. Website shows photo if them in the station while the lake shore works the 1 track.

Only cars they have with them at Toledo Union are the tool car, Mid America's Burlington "Silver Plain", and the IP Domes "Prairie View" and "Sky View".

They are in northern Toledo land, going to put an Ann Arbor loco on the headend, and may ride along with the northbound freight to interchange with GLC at Osmer. Surely late late night/early morning for them.

Not including the tool car and aux. tender they brought up 10 passenger cars including the two domes. Easy to chase north from Milan, didn't make great speed in the city but made lots of great noise.

Northbound out of Howell at 21:08. VERY impressive, traveling on its own, not with GLC power in the consist, and some mighty fine looking passenger cars I have not seen before.

Most of the cars were mid-America's I believe. I think they give the cars their original road names, I saw NYC, PRR ect. The domes were Iowa Pacific

Yesterday while checking out the area around oakwood yard we ran into a guy from a company who was cleaning out one of the parking lots on the southwest end of oakwood yard. It was off of Allen road, last parking lot before you go under the yard. I would assume that's where they will be loading trips this weekend and the next weekend.

NKP should be departing soon, pulling them backwards to Milan where the engine will run forward to oakwood yard. (James you were right ) going to be neat to see around the wye at Milan, I assume it will go solo on NS.
