They just headed east at Ball St with 7 CHs. Looks like they might be trying to double the hill due to snow on the rails. The remaining 8 CHs were tied down between Ball and Fuller.

1st half of the train at Alta Dale:

Michigan Shore 2019 is currently working Nugent sand in Norton shores. I caught them with 8 empty sand cars at McCracken headed west.

1:30 edit:
2019 pulled 19 sand loads from Nugent. They are headed back after spotting the empties

2:10 edit:
It appears 2019 tied down their loads at Henry and put the power in the Barn for the night

Grand Elk GP40-2W is at CN Kilgore Yard. No idea of the engine # or amount of cars. Just barely visible in this weather.

UPDATE: Still unknown on Engine # but I can confirm that there is one CH tied onto the power. CN crew appears to be waiting for the Elk to get moving before getting to work.

The HESR was headed west from Pigeon at 9:50. The short train was lead by what looked like HESR 2028 but I wasn't close enough to catch the numbers and one of the ISRR units. They had 6 beat up MWCX hoppers that they picked up from Tower in Elkton and a blue HESR boxcar that was sitting at the COOP terminal just east of Elkton. Normally the scrap gons from Tower are new looking OMNX. Definitely a different looking train from the normal westbound through the area.

It's a pleasant surprise Tower still ships scrap by rail. All their other locations use trucks.

GRE crew on Duty, however, 3885 is getting warmed up. Cannot tell if 24 is running, but we have a lot of cars in the yard.

Hooking up 24, if they gather everything that's in the yard right now, I'm guessing we will have a 20-30 car train.

As of 9:25, a blue flag has been placed on the engine house track and some work to 3885 is being performed.

As of 10:30, blue flag has been removed.

Well, according to the crew 3885 is being readied for a day's work and the crew won't be on duty for a while. Not sure when but I got up at 7:15 for this... :x

As of 11:25, looks like we finally have a crew.

As of 12:50, a train is being built.

As of 1:35, doing an air test. Train is over 30 cars long. If you want a big train with big power on the GRE, this is it! They do have cars for Amway, so they will stop in Ada.
