Saw GLC at the Traverse City depot today at noon. One loco on the run around,and one box car on the line. Not sure which way they were going.

Had to have left Cadillac early. I was out on the street at 0830 and didn't hear a thing.

Heard them leave Cadillac at 0930 towards Clare.
Heard them return at 1610.

Northbound out of Cadillac before 0930 today.

My wife and kids caught them near Kalkaska with 4 cars.

397 and 398 left Cadillac towards Clare at 0945 with 7 coke hoppers, 7 covered hoppers, 4 tanks, 2 covered hoppers and 4 additional tanks.

398 and 397 return at 1615 with 1 covered hopper, 2 tanks, 1 covered hopper, 1 loaded centerbeam and 1 additional tank.

397 northbound out of Cadillac at 0900 with 1 centerbeam.

MDOT must think that subsidizing the maintenance is worth it for potential future customers in TC. Reminds me of reading about Michigan Northern and TSBY running some 43 miles from Yuma to Frankfort with just a car of fish oil for Pet Milk. That didn't last long, though, and they didn't have other customers (unlike from Cadillac-Petoskey) to spread the cost.

397 and 398 left Cadillac towards Clare at 0900 with 7 tanks and 1 boxcar.

Returned at 1520. Caught 4 coke hoppers, 6 tie loads, 1 covered hopper and 3 tanks.
