CN Updates- July 2019
Re: CN Updates-June 2019
X328 is at Durand. This train is holding for other traffic.
116 is going to meet one at Holly. That train is just leaving Pontiac with CN 2255, 8809, 2830 and 2851.

Re: CN Updates-June 2019
Something went NB past MP 22.5 at 5 am. Didn't get up to see it but must have been a reroute at that time.
Train116 is SB passing MP 22.5 at 6 am. They snuck it out ahead of Amtrak, which will be late leaving Pontiac now. Two CN's.
A NB went past MP 22.5 at 8:15 am and I am guessing it was a reroute though I didn't see it. That is not a usual time for a train here.
Local 515 went SB past MP 22.5 at 9:30 am with 5456 as power again.
SB with two 2100's leading a third CN road unit and then blue GT 4919 GP38-2 is passing MP 22.5 at 10:33 am with another very mixed train that I presume is an EB reroute off the Flint Sub. based on its time and consist.
NB is passing MP 22.5 at 11:11 am with a CN leading two NS locomotives. I doubt if it is 371, or at least the normal 371, as it has a lot more mixed freight with a lot of boxcars mixed in with the usual autoracks of 371. So I am guessing another rerouted train.

Re: CN Updates- July 2019
FWIW, here are the overnight and early morning trains I saw on the archive of the Durand west-facing camera (after a quiet period after that unusual BNSF-led intermodal/autorack/mixed-freight 371 turned west):
01:53 manifest train 367 with CN 2991 and CREX 1511 turned west
04:08 probable train 116 (had small amount of mixed freight at front, then all containers after) with CN 5724 and BCOL 4616 turned south
05:34 a manifest train with 4 CN engines turned west, leader was possibly CN 2255 (couldn't see clearly)
05:43 a manifest train, possibly X328, turned south with CN 2108, CN 2116, CN 8802, and blue GTW 4919
06:21 a short EB freight with CN 5747 and BLE 878 charged through
09:29 a long intermodal train turned west with CN 2194, CN 5632, and CN 2452
09:52 an intermodal train turned south (Q148 or Q122) with CN 3188, CEFX 1024

Two lite locomotives went NB past MP 22.5 at 3:20 pm, one a BCRail cowl. These went SB earlier in the day. No trains since late morning other than this and Amtrak on the Holly south of Pontiac.
What looks like 371 is NB passing MP 22.5 with two BNSF units at 3:56 pm.

Re: CN Updates- July 2019
At 4:18 pm returning Train 515 with 5456 past MP 22.5 NB with a very long and different than usual train. Included were a ton of boxcars, including six 85' hi-cubes of CN, IC and GT variety. Seems that maybe it is doing double duty moving some cars that it usually doesn't due to the tunnel being shut down.
At 5:30 Train 514 with 5844 and 5459 went SB lite past MP 22.5.
At 6:26 pm a SB with the two lite locomotives that went NB earlier (a CN and a BCRail cowl) is passing MP 22.5 with what looks like another reroute from the mix of freight in the consist. Shorter train than most of the reroutes have been.

Posted on FB, the short SB freight is apparently an X502, so I would assume going to Toledo.Manistique wrote:At 4:18 pm returning Train 515 with 5456 past MP 22.5 NB with a very long and different than usual train. Also, I'm thinking that 515 may be grabbing the cars that 533 has started bringing down the Mt. Clemens Sub to East Yard due to the tunnel derailment.

The cars on 515 are indeed coming from the 533 set out at East Yard, however, I'm still trying to figure out where the 89' parts cars are coming from in Port Huron. Closest customers that I know that utilize those would be in Flint ?
Also, L533S left Mount Clemens @17:45 with more cars for East Yard.

Saw that WB race past the Durand camera, so those must be the containers that L514 brought north from Moterm.Dan Cluley wrote:Westbound stacks & mixed freight with 3 CN engines going through Lansing at 00:45

116 met a northbound intermodal at Royal Oak. CN 2148 is leading the northbound, with 2 CN units trailing.
