MQT ran their Baldwin turn today from Grant to Baldwin and back again to swap blocks. BPRR 3345 will lead south from Nelson’s Farm Market Monday morning. Lots of new ties stacked in Grant and more new ties and other track components in Newaygo. There is also a long line of covered hoppers in Baldwin on the Saginaw Sub east of Astor Road crossing, mostly shortie 2 bay covered hoppers but a few larger covered hoppers as well.

Far distance Grand Elk (?) train horns in the Wyoming, Mi area at 10pm

NB JAIL Z646 with 825/822 toned CN DESK 10 at 09:15 - they had to wait for CN Q116 to clear up before given the signal to cross. Looked like work for CSX and CN today.

MS Z627-03 os Grand Haven 12:30 Northbound with MMRR 2170 leading

GRE returned a little before noon. Looked like 30 or so empties waiting to be picked up by CSX tonight.

14:05 - HESR 702 inbound to Durand and along the CN Port Huron Wye

14:48 - HESR 701 outbound from Durand

Distance Grand Elk train horns around Wyoming, Mi at 4:22pm. Much louder train horns at 4:26pm. Unknown direction of travel

SB JL-1 with adbf 822/adbf 823 fresh out of the paint shops and about 2 dozen cars departed for Jackson at 21:15

22:30 - HESR 765 job departing Durand for Owosso with five cars - 1 covered hopper for ADS and 4 for GP

Thank you for posting about 765. If you don't mind a have a few questions: Do they perform yard work in Durand? Do they still go to Owosso three nights per week? On the nights they don't go to Owosso do they still do work in Durand Yard?

They work Durand Yard at night 5 days a week, M-F.
There's also a daytime yard job on M-F.
Still going to Owosso 3 times a week, M-W-F.
GP is a good customer.

MQT NB switching north of Turner at 1:00pm. 3 engines and a decent sized train maybe 40, but had to head back south so no accurate car count.

13:08 - SB JAIL Z646 with 822/823 and 7 cars
- they set off 7 cars (6 loaded plastics and one empty coil) for CN
- left 6 at csx (Michigan packaging, americhem, rsdc)
- grabbed 5 coil cars and a scrap gon from CN, took the scrap gon to Padnos
- picked up 4 coils from csx

7 cars south by Cedar were three of the coils from CN and four from CSX.

Grand Elk Z439 @ 10:40 westbound reported at Pleasant St with WAMX #3531 + WAMX #4009(?) trailing with ?? cars

Marquette Rail SB Z151 is currently inside Wyoming Yard with MQT 3408, MQT 2043, MQT 3406 and MQT 3413 with a string of cars.

Marquette Rail NB Z151 will have MQT 3413, MQT 3406, MQT 2043 and MQT 3408

GRE east thru Ada at 10:53. Looked like a short train.

Grand Elk horns heard in the distance of Wyoming, MI at 2pm

GRE went back west by me in Ada at 12:18. Too busy to post but looked at the time. Looked like a short train again.
