GLC in Traverse City today. No visual been hearing them few times.

00:29 - hearing a northbound head towards Chilson. Can hear the EMD engines but I have never heard a horn like that on GLC.

06:10 - 382/395/329 SB thru San Yard for Durand
11:33 - 399/384 SB into San Yard from the engine house
11:50 - 382/395/329 SB thru Durand for Osmer

Per a friends video. It appears GLC 385 now sports an RS5T (Maybe even a S5T??) horn. A VERY good one.

391/385 south between Boyne and Petoskey at 2:37pm with around 8 covered hoppers. Rough estimate.

GLC clear Lakeland NB at 5:45. 329, 395, 382 power. Mostly AOKX covered reddish brown hoppers.

Was this a potash train? Very slow going, much slower than would be expected from an empty grain train.

Yes. Unit train of soybeans for ZFS. They’ve gotta be out of local beans if they are buying from out of state.

No, not out of local beans, most of the large co ops are dumping last years crop and cleaning there bins getting ready for this years harvest.

RS5T, and a very loud one at that. It shook me standing a few blocks away.
