CSX GRE MQT Train Location Update 7-1-08

Looks like a 4 car train to King this morning. 164 and 90413 on 371 with 164 leading. New "MMRR Property - No Trespassing" sign at the yard office. According to the GR Press Walker is going to build them a new 5 lane bridge over 3 Mile in 2010

Heard another train moving this morning with an "01" ending, not sure what it was though. Also was picking up TD4 troy along with NS dispatcher talking to NS 412.

Could someone please confirm a train number for me please?
This morning (7/1) I saw CSXT 7614 on the head of a manifest waiting to enter Stanley Yard. I suspect it was Q506 (but it could be Q324 or something else...) and I didn't hear them on the scanner before I had to leave. As a note, he had 4 or 5 gons loaded with switch panels after one spacer car behind the head end. I'll try to post a picture tonight.

Hey Michael, your CSXT 7614 looks to have been on Q50630, looking to get into Stanley still as of 10am.

Yes the train is sitting on the east end of CSX Wyoming yard with two SD50's one of them in conrail paint. I will post pictures later, also i believe Q326 left round noon.

To correct the ignorant. Tracks west of Alpine are owned in entirety by the Coopersville and Marne.

Heads up for the east siders.....
Q326-01 heading east with a nice clean YN2 SD60M and an SD50-2. 8 cars. Cleared 146 at noon roughly.
W078-23 heading east with an SD50-2 in CR paint and a YN3 SD50-2. Empty ballast train, CR ballast cars. Cleared 146 about 10 minutes ago.

Y121 ended up towing D700 to Wyoming from Holland. IIRC, 54 cars.

When Y121 headed out of Zeeland I wonder if they noticed the caboose is still in the siding from where they left it yesterday......

Anybody see the trailing unit number on Q335-01 into Grand Rapids this morning with CSX 5479-8145 leading? Pass it on if you know.

You mean a bridge to span five lanes...two in each direction with a turn lane? If so...ABOUT GOSH DARN TIME!

Correct, 8145 following the 5479.

There was a third unit on Q335-01 today when he went by Howell. This is the one I missed, and would have been behind 5479-8145.

Hmmm, when they got to GR, they only had 2 units. Maybe thats why it took them so long to get from Lansing to Lake O, set out a unit at Ensel?
