is this a test running this 19A across the ex PRR i'm guessing. is the congestion that bad still on the ex NYC and even the ex NKP that NS needs to run trains this way?

NS has gone as far as qualifying at least 1 crew to run Colsan to Ft Wayne. I figure they're training more though but these are running while I'm at work most of the time so I cannot listen to who's on them.

Also per Facebook report another 19A west through Colsan about 3:50. NS leading a trio of UP.

Grain train with CSX 7609 leading a SD40-2 departing Lima.

3023 locked in the clear at Delphos for them, will be coming back out afterwards.

NS 931 somewhere east of Lima dropping ties.

Atlas working in Lima.

EDIT 931 is a loaded Herzog ballast train about to dump around Layfayette

The track crew and equipment working on the old Pennsylvania main is at the crossing of State Rt. 81 and the railroad east of Ada as of 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 9. It looks like they may be quitting for the evening before too long.

12/9/14. EB grain train through Van Wert at 6PM. Leading were CSX 8365/7609 with 65 car grain train. Looked like Bunge train.

howeld, NS will be running more trains once the track is upgraded in areas. Sounding like unit oil trains from BNSF in North Dakota/area. Going BNSF from Galesburg to Streator IL then into Indiana til eventually around Tolleston, IN. Then entire CF&E to Crestline, OH then NS already owns east of there. May be other trains also. Wondering if they will fleet them one direction or go either way.

Well here are some NS trains on the CF&E. 19A at Van Wert, 19A at Nevada and 931 Herzog ballast train at Lafayette.

Quote from an NS guy on facebook : "NS must have big plans for CF&E line from Mansfield to Fort Wayne. Had permanent transfer offers for engineers to Mansfield and temporary transfer offers for conductors at both locations in the memos today. To report to new locations January 15th." (on a public site, not private conversation!)

Have heard around 5 NS trains a day once they get going. 8) We'll take anything we can get. That will keep the rails polished for starters.

Most (not all) Pennsy position light signals that were installed at control points had colored lights for the stop indication and nothing more.

That went way over "you're" head. It is right "they're" in front of you, Billy.
