Average time for NS 24M and NS 20E to pass near Toledo?

Unread post by CSXandNSRailfanner »

What time? 11am? Noon? 12:30pm? I have missed both trains last time I visited Oak Harbor, OH and I am determined to catch both in my next visit, because piggybacks are my favorite. Any feedback is helpful guys!

The couple of times I have seen them on railfanninv trips it has been mid day to mid afternoon. So 11-5. But there is only one way to find out...

expect 24M anytime after 11am. Last tracks released 530 so if there no b/o's he should depart park manor 630-700am, no fuel in Elkhart. If its not too bad or he gets through Elkhart unmolested it'll be closer to 11 in Toledo. 20E I'd expect to follow 1230-130. FWIW the M "normally" has 2 units while the E has 3

They are very regular too. In 10 logs at Oak Harbor the variation between logs was about 30 minutes.
