NS names largest yard in honor of Wick Moorman

Norfolk Southern Corporation (NYSE: NSC) is naming its largest freight train classification yard after Charles W. “Wick” Moorman for his leadership in support of freight railroads and their investors, customers, and employees.

“Moorman Yard” is now the official name of Norfolk Southern’s Bellevue, Ohio, yard. Moorman retired June 1, 2015, as chief executive officer and has assumed duties as executive chairman of the corporation’s board of directors.

Wow, NS financials have been slipping in the last two years, and yet they treat him like the second coming of the messiah...

At least they have pretty engines and tea kettles.

It says he has retired, but he is now on the Board of Directors, so it would seem like he got promoted to be honest.
