Columbus' Last Roundhouse Falls

Unread post by Pie39 »

I woke up early on August 6th and took a long route to work, to stop by Parsons Yard and get some drone photos and videos of the C&O roundhouse here. Built in 1927, it was the last of Columbus' half dozen(ish) roundhouses through history to be standing, and one of very few in Ohio that still had the roundhouse and turntable combination.

Demolition began later that day, and I stopped by this morning (8/24) and took some 'after' shots. I'm working on putting together a video to show a good look before and after.
