CF&E 13 grain train with NS 8114 trailing a dash 9 just blew across the diamond at Lima. Amazes me to see a 40 mph train on this line not to mention CSX doesn't even do 40 in Lima!

Great video Scott. I'm really surprised no one has said anything about this being the 1st NS heritage unit on this part of the former PRR. I myself hope to see the PRR and PC heritage units on the CF&E one day. Ken 8)

Certainly just a question, but how easy/likely is it for NS to change the agreement in the future if they wanted to run more traffic?

CSX isn't going to allow it. Same as they threw a monkey wrench into Colsan connection several years ago. Going back to when the Oracle of Coshocton had decided to rid the ugly step children otherwise known as the CFE-CIND-I&O from the G&W empire last year, one of the biggest stumbling blocks to unloading either the I&O or CFE was CSX. So answering your next question before you ask.... CSX's only interest taking the line back is thru their interest in the Paducah & Louisville.

Another NS 16E through Van Wert on the CF&E around 8:40AM. Had NS 6748/8380/3265 leading with 96 cars. Had 2 flats with 4 new farm tractors [ Case and New Holland], 33 2-bay covered hoppers, 7 box cars, 1 gon, 22 tank cars, 4 pressurized covered hoppers, 1 loaded centerbeam flat, 26 grain hoppers including a 20 car cut of CP/DME/SOO.

Been numerous other NS 16E's and oil trains through VW on a fairly regular basis when they're not doing MOW work on the track in the area. Have been running at night after MOW work though.

I caught it at the Wall st crossing, He was almost on the crossing before the flashers lit up. That SD60I in the lead looked like it was fresh out of the paint booth and it was nice to see a good old SD40-2 also. Ken 8)

Yet another NS 16E or counterpart through Van Wert on the CF&E at 10:37PM. Leading were NS 7508/6672 with 72 cars. Train consisted of 37 2-bay covered hoppers, 2 reefers BNSF and old school ARMN, 7 grain hoppers [6 CMO/UP], 13 box cars, 2 pressurized coverd hoppers, 9 tank cars [5 SDPX], 1 4-bay covered hopper and 1 loaded centerbeam.

May have been another train through around 9:40PM or so. The CF&E is humming tonight.

Could be a couple heritage units on the CF&E if it works out. 8114 and 8025 on separate trains. Hopefully tomorrow if they come CF&E's way!

Ken, the 8025 Monongahela? unit was through Van Wert/Lima this morning with a CP unit leading it with a oil train. There is a video of it posted on FB on the Lima and Toledo Sub. The 8114 the Norfolk Southern heritage unit has been through before. It was around CP Colsan last night per FB. Haven't heard where it is anymore. So, 2 NS heritage units have plied the CF&E rails already since NS started using trackage rights again. Also, the NS GoRail unit has been through Van Wert. Pretty coll times. There is a pictures of it on the FB Lima and Toledo Sub plus a lot of other pics and videos. Go over to FB and sign up for it Ken.

Plus, another oil train is going through with BNSF/UP locos.
