Just recently heard that unused signal bridges and cantilevers on the Toledo Sub will be coming down soon. Those that still have signals will not be affected. FYI for anyone who may care. I'm assuming that will include things like this one in Lima:

As well as the (now) empty bridges at Tontogany and Leipsic. (I believe the bridges for the now gone control points in Weston were removed as part of the signal upgrade)

Yep there is one here in Weston and one further down the line between Milton center and Weston.
I can try to have a picture up soon. :D

The CPL bridge south of the diamond in Leipsic is no longer used? When did this happen?

As far as I know that's still there & in service - I think there's an empty one north of the diamond just south of 65?

Ah yes, forgot about that one. Well, no big loss there. As long as the active ones remain in service, I'm happy.

Thought I'd let you know csx has taken the signal bridge down in Weston and the one south of Weston.

Really? Strange that I didn't hear about that.

They just did that today. I found out when my dad came home.

I figured that the empty bridge for the SAS of N. End Tontogany would be the first one to go - for more than a few years it served as Halloween prop (a manequin hanging with a rope) for someone in town when that time of year rolled around...

I take it the old south end CG passing siding bridge is now gone?

Not yet...the one south of CG is still standing.

The bridge at north end of Leipsic is gone.

There is not a bridge south of the Leipsic diamond Y@...there was, but it's long since replaced by a cantilever signal. It is still very much in service.
