Passanger Cars in Wapak

Unread post by Huelsy'sTrainBlog »

I know the cars have been parked there on the old T&OC spur for as long as I can remember, so I never paid any attention to them really. The other day I decided to go check them out, does anyone have any information about who owns them etc.

Owned by Bill Fuering's family since his passing. Cars are NYC "Chittenango Falls" and an unnamed car. The "Chittenango Falls" is one of if not the last "Falls" series Buffet/Parlor cars. There has been some talk in the Private Varnish circles about their sale pending to be moved to a museum. MR&NKP seems to be the likely favorite as the family is still a major part of the museum in Bellevue.

Thanks James! I am thinking of taking the long drive (11 miles) to Wapak to get some pics of them one day.
