Truckload giant will provide intermodal service at two rail ramps in Northwest Ohio

Schneider National and CSX Transportation have expanded their multiyear contract to allow the truckload giant to provide intermodal service at two rail ramps in Northwest Ohio.

The expanded service connecting to rail ramps in Marion and North Baltimore will strengthen Schneider Intermodal’s connections to the Northeast, Southeast and Pacific Northwest. The expanded contract is also expected to boost capability through the U.S and Mexico.

One can only hope this'll mean another pair of KCS powered run-through trains going up to N Baltimore in addition to the Marion pair... (and that they run at hours easier to shoot than the Marion trains!)

Though I'm not gonna end up there on many weekdays - that's a little far for me!

North Baltimore is to become Schneiders gateway to Canada. May explain why the northwest transfer at Galetea has been put on the hot burner for next year. I can see it now CN KCS BNSF power at North Baltimore along with CSX.

I wonder if this means they'll be putting in another connection track at Ridgeway?

This time of year, it's not that hard to shoot Q107 in good light in Marion.

They are already doing that in conjunction with the Galatea Connection. The new/old eastbound signals on the C&O in Marion are rumored to be used for the new signals at CP-124.
