They went through on a westbound at Durand at about 8PM on Monday.

I cought them just west of Durand at the Shiawassee River Bridge, i showed up at Durand shortley after that. how late were you there Michael?

Thanks for the heads up on this. I wish I had read your post before I went to Durand yesterday but I did manage to catch all of 301 on video and was pleasantely surprised when those ore cars went through. Please advise if you see anymore heading this way, thanks.

ah ok i saw ya there you were talking with the guy with the broken arm, i was the one in a black crap and the only one with a camera showed up shortley after 301 with DR.

yeah i thought was Dane at the depot but didn't know for sure. Now i know and i will say hi next time. My new job is actually in the old Moore Iron works building and i will be driving truck for them along with other tasks in the shop. Not what i thought i would be doing with my college degree but it is money.

Not much here either. ATCS still is down. I dont plan on being in Durand tomorrow but maybe Thursday. Sunday I will probably show up in Durand after 4449 arrives. Im going to get some shots of it west of Durand first.

We buy, and sell old shopping carts along with rebuilding or scraping them. We sell and ship them to stores all over the state. In the old rail bay shopping carts are stacked from one end to the other about 9 high. No kidding we have probably 500,000 shopping carts there. I think the switch may still be connected and the rails are still in the rail bays. Some heavy duty welding used to go on there. there are still plenty of outlets for i think 440 Voltz that used to be hooked up to the welders. FYI from what i could see there were three rail cars for the GP plant right next door. I might wonder over and get some numbers tommrow

It went very well Greg (see my trip report in the trip report section). The weather looks perfect for the 4449...now all I need to do is find a way to get down!
