Cops to issue more tickets

According the Saginaw News

The deputy aboard the SBS Paines Job Wednesday and his partner in a patrol car cited 14 motorists for disregarding signals and gates. Michigan ranked 10th in the nation in 2005 for car-train collisions, with 94.

I had seen the deputy on board the train that day and they plan on having similar operations in the future. I'm not sure if they plan on working with both the SBS or HESR at this point, just going with what I read in the newspaper.

Good to see. I just saw last week two cars coming from opposite directions almost meet each other going around the crossing gates on Woodward Heights in Ferndale. The second car got missed by one of the Wolverines by no more than ten feet.
