The HLCX units are going to Flint for storage, out of service. Or atleast they are supposed to be going to Flint of Storage on 1/22/2007 at least four units of at least 2 of ex MPI units were ther, 6515, 6063, 6525 and 6060. Even the HELM units have been sent back to Mid America Car out in Kansas City, even more will be heading south to Progress Rail down in Patterson GA, and the FURX 3000's should be going back as the lease was not renewed as of Jan. 31.

Good size train, nice to hear.

I personally am glad to see lots of these rent-a-wrecks being returned! There's a few that I like - the blue and white CEFX ones come to mind, but I also like to see solid sets of CSXT power which was getting pretty hard to do there for a while.

Sounds like a lot of surplus power! If MQT's own 40-2s crap out, tell them there's lots that aren't being used! :P

Why are they getting sent back? Are they getting some of the New gevo's? We have a few roaming on the Toldeo and Detroit right now. Even saw 1 with a local and a B&O #9000000 Series shoving platform.

I don't know if this is why, but they are getting another 100 ES44DC's, in the 5400's. I saw brand new 5413 at Dolton last Saturday. They should have 300 of them when this next 100 is delivered (5200-5499)

Either retire or re number them, did you see the B36-7 in Dark future, that got sold to the TTI in KY. I cant believe they will send those to a diffrent number series, unless they go to the 5200's. But with nothing else on the market, I see them just keep going up.

No this one was numbered 5800's look at rrpicture archives. Are you sure, what is Waycross using for a test load unit. If that was it it didnt stay in Waycross long. Are you sure you ant thing about the U36B that went to the Mass Call Vol. Fire, thing. That B36-7, was only there for a few months.

If a B36 was painted up.. I'm sure someone would have gotta a pic of it. but yea.. TTI already has U36B's.. I'm sure the unit that went to them in DF was the load test unit. Waycross can use ANY unit to load test.. thats not hard..

Matt,
I read that they are skipping the 5500 series, and going to the 5600s.

Sorry to drag up an old thread, but I saw on Trainorders that ES44DC 5500 has been spotted at GE.
