Cheasning Central and Owosso Rwy?

Unread post by TrainWatcher »

Was looking thru Railroadmichigan.com and ran across this:

The info says it ran between Summer and Fall 1999. They had 2 Alco RS2's. I am interested in knowing more about this operation. What happened to the Alco's? The NYC one looked to be in good condition and says it left Lansing (prolly via CSX) gone to New Haven, CT in 2005, the Amtrak RS3m looked to be a wreck.

Probably because he wants us all to know that he knows something (as if it matters), but he’s not willing to speak of it.

I wonder if the old Amtrak RS3m is the same one I saw in Huron, OH many years ago? I did not realize the CC&O NYC painted one pictured above went to New Haven. I think I saw that back in 2000.

106 is still alive last i knew it was at the steel mill in Lorain, and yes it was the one in Huron. The 1508 went to a museum or something like that in New haven and was still around as of recent.

Hello James the last time i saw the 1508 was at the TSBY yard in Owosso in 2003 it looked like it was being stored i bet that is when it departed the property, around that time.
