My guess would be M420's are going to LSRC / SBS.

They could load the engine onto the SS Badger to provide some electrical power, or hook up it's engine to the gearing for the propellers to propel the boat across the lake..then we'd have cross-lake rail traffic again
They could tie long ropes to the units, and use a Panama Canal like system in Manistee to pull the large ships through the canal and to their docks.
Maybe they want some locals to go up to them on a Saturday night and take turns with a sledge hammer to the units during a kegger. This last one might be why there was a KCS unit around Holland yesterday with a broken windshield.. KCS 4589.
