All quiet at the GRE. Usual Amtrak, no NS pickup Fri, CSX left 1 box. No carpooling by UST.

You mean he had no cars coming in to Grand Rapids from Chicago? I see that often east of Grand Rapids and a good day without an Ensel pick up is anything with more than ten cars. Anybody see the K357-20 westbound last night? By Howell shortly after 8pm, but it was NOT a coke train this time, but a cushion coil steel train.

No clue about inbound. Outbound, no cars. I arrived at Judd when they were leaving then engine house...and they just kept on going. A little while later I heard them calling for permission through a maintainer's work limits.

Y121 just finished up at Windquest and is headed for the Ottawa Beach switch.

Crap...I wish they'd do that on the weekends. Tim, have followed 121 down to Hamilton on Thursdays yet? Also, since you're in Holland, keep an eye/ear on any movement to Heinz. It's been my lifelong goal to see a train on that spur, and they seem to slip in and out of there with a single tank car delivery once a month or so.

JT - was down in Hamilton two weeks ago. Got a fair shot of them on the trestle. Also, caught Y121 at Heinz (Kollen Park) earlier in the month - it was getting late in the day, but got a couple pics and some video.

y121 last work of the day seems to be the dock track ( padnos and heniz )
they get the unlock from 430 to 530 and are back in an hour or two.
listening to them on the scanner the dock track work has always been the
last of the day.

Yeah, I've caught them a couple times working the dock track later in the day, but never going as far as Heinz. Here they are on June 11th taking a load of empty gons to Padnos at 6:30pm:
