Baldwin Sharks

Unread post by NS3322 »

I was just wondering where the sharks are being kept in the Escanaba area?
And does anybody have a recent photo of them?
Any info would appreciated.

They are stored inside. Trespassers are shot on site.

I wasn't even thinking about trespassing...

I was just curious about what building they are being kept in.
And I thought a recent photo (2013) was taken of them...but it was quickly taken off the web.

I don't think you get sued for trespassing. I think you get arrested.

Your best chance is to find the leaked photos. Occasionally, 2 photos pop up of both locomotives. One is the nose on 1216, the other the rear car body on 1205. I was dumb enough not to download em when they were leaked, so I don't have the photos. Both locos are in a sorry state, but could be gotten to run. 1205 has a blown traction motor and 1216 has 2 blown cylinders (It was designed to run on 15 cylinders, so when the first when blew in the 70s they didn't do anything).
Anything can be fixed with WD40 and ductape......... Right?

I found the photos that you are describing! (I just did a Google Images search; I didn't think it would be that easy):

The Sharkies are stored in one of the super secret hiding places. Maybe in 20 years they will head to a museum, but I suspect that Mr Larkin watches the foamer boards and gets off on all the speculation on where they are, and who gets to seem them.

So they're out of the elements - and still around. Things could be a lot worse....

It is most likely a passenger car. I believe he has numerous Soo Line wood passenger cars, a chapel car from Virginia City, MT, a nearly full set of Soo Line Heavyweight Passenger Cars, an Erie Mining Solarium-Lounge, and 3 Milwaukee Road passenger cars (including a Skytop).

Supposedly the pieces in the collection has predetermined homes for when this guy passes on.
