Spotted Huron & Eastern in Owosso

Unread post by TrainNut85 »

The Huron and Eastern had a train go thru Owosso today. Caught them at Washington St as I was heading home. Power was #8804 and 4 boxcars in tow. My guess is they switched out the one factory on the end of the line of the former GTW line.

It's CMGN that switches Owosso. You're eyes we're playing tricks on you. And those 4 boxcars are for Georgia Pacific. They get around 3-4 switches a week with usually 4 cars each switch.

Ok you caught me there Don, yea the loco did have the CM logo on it, but it was still cool to catch them. I wish I had my camera with me but I had a bunch of errands to do today and didn't have the chance to run back and get it. Now how often do those 3-4 switches a week occur?

Hey Steven, is there a frequency I can catch them on with my scanner, just to see when they are in town?

Nothing wrong with HESR and since they never paint the locos CMGN is still around.

Calling a railroad that runs into central Michigan a railroad named after the eastern shoreline is a cry out against nature
