CNW8835: Thanks for the answer. :)

I sure see that this post took a left turn on a red light really fast, at least we know we have a few snowplow drivers on the board.

Today is a good day to wear shorts and a tee shirt. :!: :!:

I've worked with a guy who was telling me that back in the 1970's(?) he had hung cable TV on the power poles along M-55 through the swamp in Manistee. Said he didn't need a ladder because that's how high the snow was.

One of the reasons I voluntarily went back to my old job in the Engineering Division. - I've got the best job in the state if not the US of A :D

I'm not convinced those photo's are real. Those poles are what, 20'-30' high? I thin those are old-fashion "staged" pictures

There's the snow gauge on US 41 north of Mohawk MI that has a measurement of 390 inches. (32.5ft)

Some of the C&O and GTW poles come down to about 10 in spots. They only go up to cross roads and tracks.

That's the total for the year with the most snow in that location (79-89 I think). While it gets deep in the woods, it compresses over time.

If the snow was really that deep wouldn't the buildings be crushed? Livestock dead? Compacted into ice?
