Don't worry guys, just picked up a few small tanks of propane for my portable grill today in case we need it May 9th. There will be no need for any other fuel sources

I'll bring some beverages and something sweet. Even though it won't even compare with Mrs. Simon's goodies that Don's bringing.

Everything should be in the basement of the freight house.GTW4633 wrote:I'll be at the Depot all day today, I'll check and see if the Grill and Charcoal is still there

Me and traingirl will be there early to catch Amtrak as a homage to National Train Day!
Re: Food for May 9th Meet
I'm sure there will other trains throughout the day to pay "homage" to. It's not just a passenger train thing. What is so special about Amtrak? *yawn*TrainNut85 wrote:Me and traingirl will be there early to catch Amtrak as a homage to National Train Day!

Re: Food for May 9th Meet
Was Jay or anyone else able to confirm that the grill is still in the basement of the freight house over the weekend? It will most likely need a little cleaning before use after sitting down there for the past year.

Well..due to issues for my ride to Durand (important things like family and work..cant argue with those)..it looks like I may not make it...unless someone wants to make a side trip to Caro..lol.

Re: Food for May 9th Meet
First Dave(the creator of the 2nd thread about this same Durand meet) bails, then the 2nd Dave who started the Food thread(bringer of hamburgs, buns, and chips) bails... Why do people named Dave start threads about the meet, then bail? I'd suggest that in the future if you are going to start threads about going to the meet and organizing stuff, please attend... Thankfully the original organizers Brian and Lisa are still planning on going.Railnut wrote:Well..due to issues for my ride to Durand (important things like family and work..cant argue with those)..it looks like I may not make it...unless someone wants to make a side trip to Caro..lol.

Maybe you should just bail and go to a place that actually has a few trains
