IT went back to the owner RBRX, it was a ex-GO engine but it did not go back to the GO. The coaches are moving along great rumor was they were going to Beach grove for final work.

Nice looking engine. Did someone jump the gun ordering it before they had service lanes approved?

There was never a "official" contract or anything for that engine, just more of a word of mouth kind of deal more or less

I find it hard to believe that MDOT did a word of mouth deal. I do a lot of business with MDOT and trust me, they are very anal about every "t" being crossed and "i" dotted before anything happens. If RBRX (whoever they are, can't find those reporting marks on-line)did all that work without a signed contract, shame on them, sucks to be them - I don't feel sorry for them.

According to Railroad Picture Archives, RBRX belongs to Rosen Beaudin Railway Group. They have several locomotives pictured on the site http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/locolist.aspx?id=RBRX. Kind of funny that they wouldn't be listed in UMLER though.

It looks like it is about to appear in the movie sequel "Still Unstoppable"! I can almost picture the setting (in MIchigan) and it has a comuter train running away down plymouth hill, and heading for the river! Yikes....

They were out testing the set of coaches on the Cadillac branch last week with one of the GP38's between Owosso and Carland, not sure how it went but they will be doing more testing once they get a passenger engine in.
