Food for May 9th Meet

Unread post by Railnut »

Ok..just wondering what everyone else is thinking of bringing (food wise) for the 9th..

I plan on bringing Burgers and buns..maybe chips as well..and pop

Lisa (traingirl) will be providing the hot dogs

I believe someone mentioned they might bring pop

Don, of course, is bringing the "goods"

NON food stuff

Who is technically responsible for the grill at DUSI?

Do we have spatulas and tongs for it as well (dont need a repeat of the 2005 meet where the burgers were flipped with plastic forks..not fun)..may also need a platter or 2

We will need charcoal and starter fluid

Who may be bringing plates and napkins?

Not trying to be a control freak..just trying to help out..lol.

The grill, the "turning" tools, a half bag of charcoal and a half can of lighter fluid should be in the basement of the freight house. Maybe Steven or one of the local folks can verity it's all there. The "rent" for the stuff is a burger or dog for the ladies in the gift shop

Unfortunatly, I'll be in Italy at that time helping my relatives who suffered from that large earthquake. We'll see you guys at the Deshler Meet! :)

I have a small propane grill that I could bring if you guys don't feel like messing around with charcoal and lighter fluid, but I know some prefer charcoal because of the flavor it adds. Sounds like Dave and Lisa have the hamburgers and hotdogs covered. I plan on bringing mt. dew, coke, and chips. PM me if anything else is needed

I thought you were allowed to drink beer on Amtrak property, since they serve it on the trains...?

Um, should we get a "1075" Hazmat Placard for PAT.C for when he returns from the IHP? Might save a lot of lives!
