HESR Gets Coal Back?

Unread post by bnsfben »

I had heard that the CM/HESR/RailAmerica had got the coal contract back. Can anyone confirm this information?

Per sources the first coal train was to arrive on Monday the 5th. While in Durand I didnt see it happen but it could have been a late train.
Will be interesting to see where they put the train as the north pass and alot of the tracks in the yard are already paced full of storage coal cars.

HESR does in fact have the BNSF Western coal for a few months. CSXT/SBS will continue to handle the eastern coal.

There is one laod sitting in Durand waiting to go north and another already coming towards town. They pulled the stored train off the North Pass today and took it north to store on the Munger line IIRC.

Why does it seem like some of the most interesting moves happen when there is lousy weather and or after dark. Or, when we are not able to catch these moves because of work, school or other prior engagements! :(
