If they keep sending crews out with insuffecient training the real JAIL will be locked down and throw away the key

Thats uncalled for.
A representative of JAIL contacted me directly about my post saying it was unprofessional. Instead of chiding and threatening me tell us about JAIL's training program. I would think JAIL would be proud of it and want to share it with the railfans.

I would have to guess JAIL could care less about what railfans think, and I'm sure railfans are last on their list of people they feel they should educate on their training practices. If I were running a railroad, that's how I would feel, anyway (though I have to admidt, I could care less about watching trains go by- I am interested in the business side of things, like seeing growth, maybe odd loads, etc). I can see where a real rail buff like most here that like to watch trains could be an asset to a railroad though, as most of you could probable notice a hazzard (like bad rail, hot bearing, tresspasser, etc) and be "friends" with the railroad alerting them to these situations. Instead of picking on them...
I'd like to name a railroad in Indiana/Michigan the NIMBY. Northern Indiana & Michigan Bay Railroad.
Perhaps he works for or has some good friends that work with JAIL, and he doesn't appreciate people taking pot shots at his railroad. I know I wouldn't.

If that's the case, I guess nobody can take harmless humor anymore.
As a second "unrelated" note, it's been mentioned that posting on railfan forums is forbidden according to the handbook for JAIL employees, so don't look for posts from the insiders there to comment on much.
Just a reminder, this thread is for JAIL happenings, questions about customers, etc, not for saying negative things about the company. I don't want to see this thread turn into the mess the last JAIL thread had, or we just won't chat about JAIL. Feel free to use Scooterb's Update thread for sightings of JAIL in action: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=19983

Correct Y@, it was meant to be humorous and not a pot shot at JAIL. I post many messages supporting ADBF, DCON, JAIL, etc. to the point that some have accused me as being a troll for them. Obviously my joking about the matter has gotten under some peoples skin. I believe the person from JAIL who contacted me understands my intention although they may not like it.
I am not removing my original post because there are other threads tied into it so I will leave it up to RRFanAdmin what to do.

How about we just refer to this stretch of railroad as "The Prison Road" in honor of the town of Jackson and a place where many of the politicians from Lansing belong.
I hope JAIL is able to grow the business and is around for a long time.
I for one, don't even recognize the "JAIL" term, until it's on the side of the engines, it's just the "Jackson-Lansing" Railroad to me, and I'm glad to have a new RR here. The "JAIL" moniker was a corporate decision, for whatever reason. I'm sure the workers catch enough grief from it, as it is. It just seems like "here we go again", with this thread part-2.

I couldn't agree more, can't we just get back on the right topic here...
