Southbound CP Rail Train

This past Wednesday, I was in Plymouth in the Old Village section of town on Starkweather Street. I just happened to catch a southbound CP Rail train at 15:48 hours on Farmer Street that was coming off the wye from Detroit. Does anyone have clue as to what the correct number or symbol would be for this train, or where it was heading to? The manifest it was carrying, mostly consisted of tank cars.

It probably was a CSX train with CP power.

Prolly a CP Detour train. They are having big problems still with flooding.

Flooding where if it was coming from Detroit? Wouldn't they still be using NS trackage?

Can't see the EXIF information on your picture, but are you sure you didn't see it Thursday the 7th? Ran though plymouth approximately 15:45 as you mentioned as CSX X55104 to Stanley Toledo, then back on Q39208 from Toledo to Detroit, and ran yesterday as Y12208 in the yard in Detroit.
X55104 is a CP reroute though.

I'm thinking its a unit sulfur train that CP usually interchanges to CSX in Chicago bound for Florida. They usually have a K-symbol on CSX.

By the title of the thread, I was expecting to see a pic of a welded rail train led by a CP locomotive. :D

You are correct, it was the afternoon of July 7th when I photographed this train. Not enough sleep lately.

There was CP power at rougemere, it wasnt a Detour train.

And you have what proof that it was not a reroute? What was the CSX train symbol?

A few years ago there was an empty rail train with a CP AC4400CW for the power. They were out in Island lake (Brighton/ Green Oak) with the curve patch gang that went through in 2006.

Probably grabbed those two units parked at Evergreen. "We'll have them back before they miss them".

I have seen CP 9784 parked there several times over the past year so there is a good chance so.
