GLC Running Passenger Cars?

Curious if anyone noticed the passenger car going southbound on the GCL mixed manifest yesterday (for those who watch this quiet line). I've heard about 'talks' of running passengers on this line, and was wondering if it was a test run, or just moving an old passenger. A friend of mine who got a better look at it said it looked like an old Metra, the bilevel nippon sharyo to be exact (he did some digging and was pretty sure that was it).

There were a few GLC ex-Metra BILevels for sale on a few railcar sites. Might have been sold off.

The Bluewater chapter of NRHS sold one of their cars, heard it was moved this week to Toledo by shorelines on it's way to TN.

@Dr
It was running through Mount Pleasant when I saw it. Probably a car being sold. Too bad, I was excited. :(

Thanks for the responses all!

What kinda car and what color? There are 2 passenger cars based outta Mt. Pleasant. Was also possible talk of a bi-level coming south to Owosso from Cadillac for parts.

GLC's Website wrote:Great Lakes Central Railroad is dedicated to supporting community goals for transportation efficiencies with forward thinking. GLC is currently developing a round-trip passenger train between Ann Arbor and Traverse City that will be an extraordinary experience. Also in the works are four daily round-trip commuter trains between Howell and Ann Arbor.

GLC does have a bunch of ex-Metra cars in storage in Cadillac, maybe one of those? They are also still talking about commuter service from Howell to Ann Arbor, and maybe limited service from AA to Traverse City. Whether it can happen remains to be seen....
