Circus Train coming!!!

Unread post by Super Chief »

The Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey circus is due to set up in Grand Rapids September 20th. My sources tell me Grand Elk will get the train in Elkhart on the 19th for the run up to GR. Be on the lookout. This is the same week every year that they schedule.

There is no usual time. Every year that I've got them it's been different.

-September 13, 2011 via Grand Elk in the late afternoon/evening.

-September 14, 2010 via CSX early in the morning:

-September 22, 2009 they arrived via CSX in the morning:

-September 16, 2008 they arrived via NS at night:

We have put in a request for a dual control stand leader out of Elkhart so I can actually be on the well-lit side and get the Brakey pics too :) Oh, and he could work on his tan in what is hopefully evening sun! Lol

Don't mean to be dense, here, but you're joking about the dual control stand, right? Those are long gone on road power, right?

Also, is that really a 2011 pic? I haven't seen warbonnet or BN green in that good of shape for years and I live in a city that gets frequent BNSF service.

Cool pics guys!

No, 1911. "2011" was written to try to fool everyone. :P
