Cool pictures. LSRC it a very interesting railroad. Any work being done on 975 and is 3500 running or not? May be dumb questions, but I'm interested. Still working on filling out my LSRC photographic roster.

Thanks. No, they are not dumb questions at all. The 3500 is sitting on the "jack track", coupled to the 3500, awaiting repairs. I am mot quite sure what is wrong with it, but I don't think that it is anything serious. However, with the shops working on the 698 (major problems), 1195 (rebuild I believe), 975 (big problems), 3500, and 381 (it helps that they put the 3504 back in service), plus preparing for the move to Saginaw, they have things pretty much tied up. Work on the 975 is slow and scarce, but it is progressing. And trust me, it's HARD to get the complete Lake State roster (I am missing SD40 5921).

I've got 5921 several times over. I think I'm missing 5 or 6 units now. With the shops going to Saginaw, when a unit goes down for work for a while, we'll never see it for a year. 381 is down now? Just saw her a few weeks ago. All of my stuff is Bay City and south so far.

Great Pictures. BTW, I think that this is Wheeler Road in Wenona Yard in Bay City, unless I am mistaken.

Also, what is the story with the GT unit in Saginaw?
The 2052 is a GP38M (rebuilt GP35), again unless I am mistaken.
Let me take a wild guess here at the units you are missing.
RS2U 469
S1 646
RS11 1195
HR412 698
M420W 3504
GP38M 371
That makes six, unless you intend to knock a few off.
Patrick,
sometime in the next year I'll have to come down to BC and Saginaw, and soak in some great Lake State/HESR (mainly Lake State) action.
Oh, and Patrick, how do you get here? Photo by Gregg. I guess its near Wenona.
Thanks,
LSRC

yup, all those plus the 3500 and 975, so I guess 8 it looks like. It'll probably take a while to fill in those last slots. 2052 is a GP38M-3 or something like that. It was new to the site when I added my pictures but the closest the website has is GP38-3 so I used that. I put the GP38M-3 in the notes.

2052 is a GP38M if its a -3 its not listed that way on the blue card inside it.
The pic you asked about with the 3504 in it, looks to be Two Mile road looking south. its about 1 mile from my home.

Thanks Patrick, I'll have to look there sometime.
I almost forgot about the 3575! Geez, this thing has NEVER hit the road tecnically (besides the trip from the KPR), and is used as a part sorce.
So that makes 9.

Here are a few more that I found.
Old CSX car in Saginaw on the SBS
A very strange crossing in Bay City. One side of the crossing has an electronic bell, but no lights, and the other side has only a crossbuck.
Not Lake State, but two pictures from Detroit.
The ex: PM bridge outside of BC.
Wierd crossing in Alpena at Lafarge.
Everybody's favorite Lake State hopper
3571 and 975
381 (with a blue bearing) at Johnson street.
Again, not LSRC, but the sweet NS bridge in Toledo.
LSRC 2003 in her soon to be old paint.
And two more at Death Curve.
