Any news on 24 since she left the GRE?

Since when did she leave the GRE? She's still sitting there with the 3805.

No changes.

Hmmm, I swore I saw something about her leaving on a southbound run one day. I know the 3805 is still there. I guess the better question now is what's taking so long with the Kiamachi unit?

3805 wasn't in operable condition. It needs some help.

If this unit is anything like the two GP35 Kiamichi units that were in Muskegon, then it is probably one broken bolt away from being scrap. I think G&Ws new program is to send broke down p.o.s. locomotives to MS/GRE. Then they can fix them, run them, and work out all the bugs just in time for a unit swap. That seems to be the trend anyway.

Driving on Ann Street tonight revealed that #24 and the Kiamichi unit have been moved elsewhere. In their places are a bunch of track maintenance equipment.

They're parked tonight up the hill by Panell, along with the 3885, so the track crews could work.

As of right now, 24 is going to go to Muskegon for repairs and supposedly going to spend time on the MS, and 3885 will go to the MQT whenever 3805 gets kicked into service.
According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway because bees don't care what humans think is impossible.
