I am getting my bike fixed soon at my dads house. So I could bike ride to the CSX line in La Salle MI, the CN and NS lines near Lake Erie, and to Diann Junction. I am closest to Diann Junction. Does the Ann Arbor Railroad still have a NB road train that goes around 10 am and a SB that goes around 7 pm-8 pm? Also what CN trains run on the Ann Arbor Railroad? Can one of you guys please tell me what CN symbols they have for the Ann Arbor Railroad thanks.

The CN trains are #384 north & #385 south. As for the AA I don't know what their current schedule is now that they don't have to switch the ex Ford Plant in Saline.

What time does 384 depart Toledo and what times does CN 385 get to Toledo?

Seems like I often see 385 departing Flat Rock late morning around the time IORY is arriving (on the days IORY runs which isn't daily).

The AA Road Train runs runs Monday-Friday, usually NB over night and back SB the next morning. They can run extras on the weekends for both autoracks and grain. The CN Train that runs the line is now symboled L585 in both directions, as of last year, as a result of the switch to using NS power. The SB of L585 runs in the morning, usually before sunrise with the NB counterpart running up in the mid-morning time frame.

I should also make note that L585 has no involvment with 384/385 anymore, except it might share some cars. L585 terminates and originates in Flat Rock, with 385/384 doing the same. The power doesn't relay anymore, only L585's power does to go back to NS.

I just want to understand this correctly.

Based on what I see online, 384-385 were Sarnia to Toledo (NS Trains). These trains are now only running Sarnia to Flat Rock and the run from Flat Rock to Toledo (via the AA) is now handled by a local, L385. The local must "originate" in Toledo with NS power and just use the NS power all the way to Flat Rock and back to Toledo. Where does this train go in Toledo, or does it actually just continue on NS to Bellevue?

CN/NS designation is L585, not 385.

At Alexis northward it's CN L585, south of there to Bellevue is NS 184/353 as it was before. CN's locals are in the L500-series, none exist in the L300-series.

So its rare to see a train on the Ann Arbor railroad on the weekends? Would If I were to go 8 miles to the CSX line? What times are busy on that line and what roads are not busy with road traffic? I live near Todd Road :)

Thanks so much I am thinking about fixing my bike in October
