So what CSX trains operate to Flint now?
With the abolishment of the GR-Flint-Toledo locals, what regularly scheduled trains go to Flint now?

D736 - Flint to Detroit
D737 - Plymouth to Flint - not sure how often it goes all the way to Flint though
You also have the D711 - Marysville to Flint and back. IIRC it's one way one day and back the next. Might have changed though.

I thought D710-D711 were Flint -Port Huron and return and there was a Y train that actually serves the PH&D rather than it being served by the local between Flint and Port Huron.

Last I heard when the crews were moved to Toledo a while back D710, which used to originate in Flint, originated in Port Huron (yard at Marysville), and it was usually referred to as D711. It may have changed though. It started being a one way a day train. The RRFan Wiki actually says its symbol depends on direction currently, with 710 being 2-3 days, and 711 being 2-3 days, so it is a one way a day train. As for a Y train, no clue. Probably. Someone needs to switch the industries.chapmaja wrote:atrainguy60 wrote:D735 - Detroit to FlintBamaSubdivision94 wrote:With the abolishment of the GR-Flint-Toledo locals, what regularly scheduled trains go to Flint now?

For what it's worth, on the "other" forum, the person (Elba Steve) who gives a "head's up" if a train is leaving Flint for the Port Huron area calls that train the D-711. And I've recently read one of his posts referring to the WB train from Port Huron to Flint as the D-710.I thought D710-D711 were Flint -Port Huron and return and there was a Y train that actually serves the PH&D rather than it being served by the local between Flint and Port Huron.
And on this forum, CantBeShook.WeHot posted this on July 25: d71125 at south mcgrew flint 2:42pm, heading to Port Huron.
There may be a local train that runs south from Flint to at least Holly.
What is a "Y train"?

A Y train is a yard job or shorter distance local that runs with a Y symbol, like Y106 or Y121.
