CSX Train Symbols Changing

Unread post by SD80MAC »

CSX is going to be changing some more train symbols very soon. Keep an ear out for new symbols on the radio waves!

Are they changing the letters like they did with the stack trains from Q to I?

Does CSX not care about what this does to our CSX Train Symbol Wiki page? The amount of time people take to edit the list to keep it up to date, and they decide to just rework their symbols.... Boo hiss CSX!

I may have missed it somewhere, but is there a list of what the train IDs were originally and what they are now? For example D706 - L303?

I can only speak for the jobs that operate west of Plymouth:

L301 - D700
L302 - D705
L303 - D706
L304 - D707
L305 - D708

Extras of these jobs run with the "U" prefix.

Bumping this thread:

The following trains in Michigan...

Q326
Q327
Q510
Q509
Q214
Q215 (214 & 215 are actually manifest trains, NOT solid autoracks)

...are going to receive an M symbol, Not sure if the number part of it will change or not, odds are (in my opinion) they probably will.

Coal Trains now run as C trains, as Tom49801 pointed out earlier this morning, Former N801 was calling symbols as C801. So I guess they're keeping the symbols for that.

If I need to make edits to the list above, let me know.
