On the drive in this morning, between 8:25am and 8:55am, I heard the following:
Amtrak P371 clearing Saugatuck at 8:30, and them clearing Wells around 8:45am.

CSX K351(empty Coke express) departed Wyoming Yard around 8:30, heading east through town.

CSX D801 is at the engine house in GR getting set to put an EOT on and head west.

I heard D708 somewhere out in the distance this morning, maybe heading east clearing Alto..not positive.

Mr Hall was out near Clarksville this morning, and he's seen a few things out and about...
Saw CSX N956 headed towards Lansing..should be almost there by now
CP X500 cleared Clarksville about 8:50 am.
That CSX K351 should be almost out there by now for him as well.

A few more notes from this morning. Q326 is pulling into Wyoming Yard right now and if I heard correctly Q327 was leaving headed west at the same time. If it was it should be at Hudsonville as I type this.
Also, there are maintainers everywhere this morning. Fox, Elmdale, Plaster Creek and a track inspector going from Grandville to Elmdale. A signal maintainer was talking with the RN about a "707 form" somewhere.
The lead unit on N956, BNSF 9913, was the leader on a D803 for West Olive coming up Saugatuck Hill early Sunday afternoon.

Yup, I stuck it out. Went back up to West Olive though. Followed them back to Holland. Recrewed at the Holland station. D801-20 bacame E949-20 at that point.

A few oddities today

A few non-train but still railroad related happenings today.
-Sperry car working between Grandville and Zeeland. Several defects found and rails replaced.
-Signal issues on the Waverly Wye. To complicate this, the RN and maintainer couldn't decide where the limits of the maintainers permit should be.
-About 3:30 this afternoon the was an accident on the grade crossing at New Holland Ave in Hudsonville. No train invovled, just dumb drivers.
-Track circuit failure at 5PM on the old Ludington Sub between Market and Watson Streets. This activated the crossing gates at Wealthy, Market, Front and Butterworth streets at least. Traffic wasn't in such great condition needless to say.

And one train item. Z739 (NS train B49) was waiting on the Hughert Runner to go up the interchange with GRE but was told to wait until the grade crossing issues were resolved.
