As of 8:45am, heard this going on during my drive to work...
Inspector Shelnor had the track out near Elmdale.
P37120 was clearing down at Helper
D700 was waiting at Grand Junction for P37120 to go by, and would make a run on Grand Rapids. Dispatcher was going to hold D80120(lite power as Tim mentioned) at E Saugatuck, then head down to Wells to get a coal drag... D80220 wasn't onboard yet at Wells, but should be soon.
This combined with good sunlight and fog, my exact thoughts about being at work instead, "ARGHHH."

9662 was the lead on D803 yesterday.

I wonder - maybe they did head out to Heinz this morning. Too bad I was in a conference call with my boss - and in a few minutes have another call with the Air Force. Would be a good morning to have taken a half day of vacation...

Sounds like there is a coal train heading north in the Roost Block.
Just heard D801-20 call clear at mp 27 11:50 AM heading east...

11:56 - D801 called clear Holland depot - main to the siding.
D801 is talking to Y121 now about going into the yard at Waverly.

Would have been a perfect Morning to catch an East Bound, had Freezing Fog over night, all the trees were twinklin' in the morning sun. Anyone get a Ice Fog shot?

D802-20 entered the Power Block at 12:02 PM. BNSF 5658 and 6034.

Sounds like the engines are going to go to the fuel pad at West Olive - just heard East Tower ask D802 to call when they're on the pad.

Please help the scanner-challenged, what train was SB through Holly at ~15:50 with CSX 7879 leading? Sure was long.

I'll have to try to squeeze a scanner out of the budget somewhere. Is there a low cost model that's decent?

The airtest *can* be done with one person, mind you it becomes a more lengthy process...

I have a couple old ancient Radio Shack 10 channel jobs - a Pro-41 and a Pro-49. They work well and I'm sure you could get one of these models used from eBay dirt cheap. A couple years ago I bought an upgrade - a used Radio Shack Pro-83 200 channel compact little job for 50.00 - works fine.
I think Radio Shack has a Pro-84 for around 70.00 new.
