Ok...lets look at this. Ex-CR high hood!? Really!?!? My friend, I'm pretty sure (and by pretty sure, I mean 100%) that NS 5025 was built as SOUTHERN 5025, and that Conrail didn't have any high hoods - post first generation diesel era (GP7's etc.). So, this brings me to my conclusion. HOW could that be it's original CR horn??? :? :? :?:

IIRC, the only high-hood units Conrail had were GP7's, GP8's (I believe most if not all were chopped down), GP9's, GP10's, SD9's, and SD10's. Not sure if they had any SD7's that were high in the early days...

Well if you are going that far back, don't forget about many ALCO models that had high hoods on CR in the early days.

Off the top of my head,RS1,RS2 RS3,RSD5,RS11 and the RSD15 were all on the CR roster at one time.

As for EMDs they also had a couple of GP18s from the LV.

You also fail here:
CN Local with CN ex-GTW 4615
How many times do I have to say this to people: JUST BECAUSE IT'S IN CN PAINT DOESN'T MEAN IT'S NOW A CN UNIT. 4615 is STILL GTW 4615, as the reporting marks on the cab indicate.

Nice video James. Some of the GP7's that CR had rebuilt retained their high-hoods. CMGN picked up a couple of them in 92 or 93.
PatC created a monster, 'cause nobody wants to see Don Simon no more they want AARR I'm chopped liver, well if you want AARR this is what I'll give ya, bad humor mixed with irrelevant info that'll make you roll your eyes quicker than a ~Z~ banhammer...

Ok, I just watched the video (it wouldn't work for me at first). The horn on NS 5025 is a P3. Conrail used only S3L's.

The P3s do sound sharp tho, it reminds me of a Leslie, but it was made by Nathan. I'm planning on doing a whole day thing in Delray and Wyandotte, but on separate days, sometime next month.

Better bring something to read between trains, because there might be some long intervals.
